Privacy Policy

1. Overview

MyMediCert ("we", "our", or "the Service") is a free, browser-based medical certificate generator operated at mymedicert.com. We are committed to protecting the privacy of every person who uses our Service — patients, doctors, and clinic staff alike.

The short version: we collect no personal data. We store no patient information. Everything you type stays in your browser.

2. Data we do not collect

MyMediCert does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Patient names, ages, genders, or dates of birth
  • Medical diagnoses, clinical observations, or recommendations
  • Doctor names, licence numbers, or clinic details
  • Downloaded PDF files
  • IP addresses or device fingerprints linked to certificate content
  • Any form of health or medical record

All data you enter into the certificate form is processed entirely within your own browser using client-side JavaScript. No network request carrying your form data is ever made.

3. PDF generation

The PDF export is generated locally in your browser using the open-source libraries html2canvas and jsPDF. The resulting file is saved directly to your device. No copy is sent to any server, cloud storage, or third party. Once you close or refresh the page, all form data is cleared from memory.

4. Cookies and local storage

MyMediCert uses a single browser localStorage key (medcert-theme) to remember your light/dark mode preference between visits. This key contains only the string "light" or "dark".

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (such as aggregate page-view counts) to understand how many people use the Service. If we do, no personally identifiable information or medical data is involved. We will update this policy if we introduce any analytics tool.

6. Third-party services

The MyMediCert website may be hosted on a third-party infrastructure provider (such as a CDN or hosting platform). That provider may log standard server access logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp). These logs are used solely for security and uptime monitoring and are not linked to any certificate data.

7. Children's privacy

MyMediCert is a professional tool intended for licensed health professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our Service, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact
